SCHEDULING

Services are scheduled by appointment only. To accommodate today’s busy lifestyle I may have same day appointments available. However, to ensure that I am able to accommodate your preferred appointment times, I ask that you schedule with as much advance notice as possible. A credit card may be required at the time of scheduling to hold your appointment.  

AGE REQUIREMENT

I accept appointments for children under the age of 16 if they are accompanied by a parent or guardian during the service and have a parent or guardian signed waiver.  Children 16-18 years old are required to have a parent or guardian signed waiver and are not required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the service.

CANCELLATION POLICY

24 hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Failure to cancel appointments at least 24 hours in advance or failure to show up for your appointment will result in a charge of 50% of the scheduled appointment fee which will be processed on the credit card retained on file to reserve appointment.

PAYMENT

Full payment is due at time of service. I accept cash  & all major credit cards (Visa, Master Card, Discover or American Express). Sorry, no checks are accepted.  

GRATUITIES

Gratuities are not included in the prices of services and are always appreciated. All gratuities are at the client’s discretion, but are customarily 15-20% of the regular cost of service.

HEALTH CONSIDERATIONS

Please inform me at time of scheduling of any health conditions, allergies, special needs or concerns you have. Your safety is important to me & some services may not be appropriate for certain conditions.

SICK POLICY

I ask that if you are sick (which includes a cold, a fever, the flu, etc.) or have the onset of symptoms of an illness that you reschedule your appointment. 

Receiving a massage when you are sick is not advised. While in the early and acute stages of a cold, the flu or other illness, a massage can accelerate the onset of the infection and intensify its severity (via additional circulation of blood & lymph). If you get a massage after the infection has peaked, you may experience a relapse of symptoms and feel sick again. Please wait until you have been well for at least a week before getting your massage. If you do need to cancel your appointment, please call me as soon as possible and I will be happy to reschedule your appointment for a time when you are feeling better.

COMMUNICATE YOUR PREFERENCES

Be sure to speak up. All aspects of your massage session can be modified to your preference: pressure (too light or too deep), lighting in the room, style of music, temperature, and whether or not you choose to have a conversation or enjoy the treatment in silence.

INSURANCE BILLING

I do not offer direct insurance billing but can provide a receipt for your session that you may be able to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. A prescription from your doctor or chiropractor is typically required. You must contact your health insurance provider to verify that massage therapy is a covered plan benefit and for instruction on how to submit your claim. You are responsible for payment at the time of service.

INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR

Massage therapy is for relaxation and therapeutic purposes only. There is absolutely no sexual component to massage whatsoever. Any insinuation, joke, gesture, conversation, or request otherwise will result in immediate termination of your session and a refusal of any and all services in the future. You will be charged the full service fee regardless of the length of your session. Depending on the behavior exhibited, a report with the local authorities may be filed. Treat me with respect and dignity and you will be treated the same in return.
